UK funding boosts H2 power hub

The ELIRE Group has been awarded funding under the Innovate UK CMDC6 programme (Strand 2) for a feasibility study on its pioneering Hydrogen Floating Power Hub, scheduled for first deployment in Greenwich in autumn 2025

The Integrated Floating Power Hub is a scalable, off-grid energy platform that combines hydrogen storage, renewable power and smart microgrid systems to deliver zero-emission energy to both ocean-going and inland vessels.

Backed by partners including Ricardo plc, Sealand Projects, Schneider Electric and the University of Strathclyde, the study officially begins on 1 September.
