New LNG terminal for Fjord Line

This will enable the operator to bunker its vessels more quickly and make use of the terminal commercially. It’s due for completion towards the end of 2014.

The LiquiStation Bulk ST2FF terminal will feature a 500m³ tank along with a 400m³ per hour filling station enabling the operator to refuel Fjord Line’s LNG cruise ferries, Stavangerfjord and Bergensfjord within two hours.

Fjord Line very much has its sights set on creating an efficient LNG bunkering service for its operations. Back in January, the operator first announced it was to bunker its new LNG ferries while passengers were on board, once permission was granted by Norwegian authorities.
