GreenPort Congress and Cruise hosted by Port of Antwerp-Bruges kicks off at 08:40 tomorrow 18 October 2022 at the Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre (BMCC).
Delegates can expect a day packed with industry leading speakers from worldwide ports. The opening session will feature keynote addresses from:
- Isabelle Ryckbost, Secretary General, European Sea Port Organisation
- Capt Sameer Bhatnagar, Head of Fuel Transition & Infrastructure, A.P. Moller – Maersk
Isabelle Ryckbost, Secretary General, European Sea Port Organisation will set the scene and talk about Realising the green transition: how to step up speed on a bumpy road? Followed by Capt Sameer Bhatnagar, Head of Fuel Transition & Infrastructure, A.P. Moller – Maersk who will discuss Decarbonization - A Ship Operator’s perspective. Decarbonization requires commitment from all stakeholders across the Maritime Logistics value chain to address its unique challenges. It requires more collaboration and a proactive approach to ensure readiness to be able to procure and supply Future fuels.
Day 1 concludes with the conference dinner held at ABC-toren based at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. The conference dinner provides an opportunity to reflect on the first day of conference presentations and continue the discussion outside of the conference room.
