Coastlink have released the 2023 Provisional Programme with a speaker line-up including Containerships CMA CGM GmbH, MAERSK, and the Ports of Dover, Bilbao, and Tyne.

Coastlink 2023 will focus on the key theme of Growing Sustainable Supply Chains through the promotion of short sea feeder services and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the supply chain.

Hosted by Peel Ports Group Liverpool, the 2023 event will take place at the Royal Liver Building on 3 & 4 May. To open the Conference, Claudio Veritiero, CEO of Peel Ports Group will deliver the Port of Liverpool’s welcome address.

On Day 1 attendees will hear a keynote address from Robert Clegg, Short Sea Director United Kingdom for Containerships CMA CGM who will provide his insight on the current trends in the market. Discussing the challenges across the sector in the panel discussion ‘Post-Brexit & Post Pandemic – are we where we need to be?’ Moderator - Richard Ballantyne OBE of the BPA - will be joined by panellists from the Ports of Dover and Bilbao and the Irish Exporters Association.

During the afternoon session of Day 1, delegates will learn from our expert speakers as they highlight the how the market is promoting growth and delivering resilient supply chains. Taking us through the changing landscape in end-to-end intermodal networks, the audience will hear from Peel Ports, PD Ports, Logistics UK, and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

Day 2 will tackle the topic that is high on everyone’s agenda – Sustainability and the Energy Transition. Kicking off this all-important subject David Browne, General Manager at MAERSK, will outline their plans for a more sustainable future and their support of methanol fuelled ships.

Learning how ports, shipping and logistics can transitions towards a net zero future, delegates will hear from Royal HaskoningDHV, the Port of Amsterdam International, and PowerCon. The event will finish with a panel discussion focussed on driving efficiency through port collaboration, data, and digitalisation – helping to deliver Net Zero by working greener and smarter. Attendees can take advantage of the opportunity to engage in the debate with speakers including the Port of Tyne and the Royal HaskoningDHV smart port team.
