Coastlink are delighted to announce that the UK Major Ports Group have confirmed their support for Coastlink 2024, to be hosted by the Port of Amsterdam from the 24 - 25 April.
The UK Major Ports Group (UKMPG) is the trade association for the UK’s largest and most ambitious port operators.
Formed in 1993, UKMPG is the industry voice for the UK’s major port operators and represents nine of the top ten port operators in UK. Members collectively handle 75% of the UK’s port volumes through 40 ports and invest over £600million per annum in UK ports and infrastructure. These include the largest ports in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in areas of economic significance across the United Kingdom.
Geraint Evans, Chief Executive at UK Major Ports Group will join the Coastlink Conference on day two, Thursday 25th April 2024 during the ‘Shore Power – Overcoming the barriers to infrastructure and delivery’ panel discussion.
Geraint works with UKMPG members, policy and law makers to navigate the changing policy landscape and represent their interests to Government, political parties and officials across the UK.
Joining the panel discussion Geraint will provide insight on the UKMPG members perspective regarding the implementation of shore power, and how political, environmental and social element can impact decision making.
