Iran’s ports were the recent target of a foiled cyberattack, according to the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran.
The Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran announced in a statement that its information technology experts have thwarted a cyber attack targeting the electronic infrastructures of the Iranian ports, reported the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
“All missions and activities of the Ports and Maritime Organization are going on normally,” said the statement, according to the news agency.
The statement noted that online services are being provided to prevent any disruption to the freight services or loading and unloading operations.
No details about the origin of the attack have been confirmed.
In May, a cyber attack on Shahid Rajaee port terminal in Iran was blamed on Israel by US and foreign government officials.
