While manufacturers describe their reachstackers as being ''competitively'' priced, terminal operators are sometimes a little more forthcoming. Informed sources point out that Kalmar''s current ContChamp DRF model can be picked up for around US$500,000. This represents a premium of around 7.5% when compared to other European manufacturers.
