PLA inks VTS deal with Kongsberg

The Port of London Authority has signed a deal with Kongsberg Norcontrol to replace its vessel traffic services (VTS) equipment

This deal is a key part of its Thames Vision 2050 programme to create a future-proofed, resilient port control centre at the UK’s largest port.

Trade at the port on the tidal Thames is expected to rise from 55 million tonnes per year to 78 million by 2050.
