Quequén to have first box terminal

This will be constructed on 65,300 sq m of land in the Necochea logistics area Área Logística Necochea, where there will be an area for tuck manoeuvring, another for the collection of large cargoes and a smaller area for temporary storage of special cargoes.

Once these works have been completed, the CGPQ will seek an operator for Zone 1, where general cargo and container handling operations will take place. Neither is currently handled in Quequén.

Levelling and compaction work is also underway to create the necessary surface for future storage areas.

The new area will cater to three wind farms, with turbines currently being sourced in Asia. These facilities will be sited at Necochea, Miramar and Tres Arroyos, with special berths also being built to receive all necessary equipment.
