A forthcoming Coastlink Insights webinar will look at how RoRo and LoLo services are evolving as short sea shipping adapts to changing trade patterns, operational pressures and customer expectations.

The online session, Growth & Transformation in RoRo/LoLo Shipping takes place on 17th March at 10:00 GMT and will introduce several of the themes that will be explored in more detail at the Coastlink Conference in May.
Unitised cargo continues to play a central role in regional supply chains, particularly in European short sea trades where frequency, reliability and flexibility remain key requirements. At the same time, ports and operators are balancing capacity constraints, infrastructure investment and service development while responding to shifts in cargo flows and logistics models.
The webinar will consider how RoRo and LoLo services are positioned within modern intermodal networks, including the relationship between accompanied and unaccompanied freight, port operations and hinterland connectivity. It will also address how operators are adapting services and partnerships to meet changing shipper requirements.
The session will be chaired by Nick Lambert, Co-Founder & Director, NLA International Ltd, and features speakers from across the sector:
- Graham Cross, Business Development Manager, Clarksons Port Services
- Iain Barnett, Commercial Manager – Lead Unitised Cargo Development, Associated British Ports
- André Mast, Commercial Director, A2B-online
The March webinar is intended to introduce the debate and outline the key issues currently affecting the market. The detailed discussion, including extended panels and in-person networking, will form part of the programme at the Coastlink Conference in May, where stakeholders from ports, shipping lines, logistics providers and cargo interests will examine the topics further.
