As Director & Co-Founder of NLA International, Nick brings with him a wealth of expertise spanning the blue economy, maritime connectivity, eNavigation and GNSS resilience, as well as cyber security, spatial data infrastructures, and the human factors shaping the future of our industry. His forward-looking insight has been invaluable in past editions of Coastlink, and 2025 promises to be no exception.

On his appointment, Nick Lambert commented: Following our successful and informative Coastlink 25 event in Bilbao I am already much looking forward to seeing our ever professional and engaged community in Hull next year. Coastlink 2025 was uniquely (hopefully) affected by the Iberian Peninsula power outage, a timely reminder of the need for resilience in shipping and port infrastructure and operations. I suspect resilience will feature significantly in 2026 too.’

His experience will anchor discussions in Bilbao, driving forward the key themes of Coastlink 2025, including:

  • · Securing maritime & port operations: policy, regulation and technical Initiatives.
  • · Sustainable & resilient distribution for supply chain requirements.
  • · Growth and transformation in short sea RoRo shipping, infrastructure, and service models.
  • · AI, digitalisation and value creation from data.
  • · Navigating trade policy & market volatility: managing uncertainty in a tariff era.
  • · Port-centric logistics & inland waterway distribution.
