PACECO-MES FLEXES MUSCLE IN THE USA

Paceco-MES has signed a contract with TraPac, Inc. (USA) for the supply of new super post-Panamax quayside cranes and RTGs destined for service in various terminals in the US.

Three of the postPanamax cranes, capable of handling a 19-wide deck stow, will go into operation at TraPac’s existing terminal in Los Angeles and the remaining two will be employed at a new terminal to be built in Jacksonville at Dames Point. The former units will be delivered and commissioned at the end of 2007 and the three units for Los Angeles by March 2008.

Nine RTGs have been ordered, three RTGS featuring an eight wheel design and 1 over 5 stack capability for TraPac’s Oakland terminal and six 16-wheel units for Jacksonville with a 1 over 5 stack capability.

MES, has recently increased its production at its facilities in Oita and to-date has booked 20 quayside crane and 45 RTG orders.
