Middlesbrough expands rail freight capacity

AV Dawson is investing GB£5 million in a new dry bulk rail terminal at the Port of Middlesbrough, expanding rail freight capacity and strengthening regional supply chain connectivity.

The new terminal, due for completion in spring 2027, will become the fifth rail facility at AV Dawson’s 120-acre logistics hub, enhancing port construction and terminal construction capabilities while supporting UK manufacturers, importers and exporters through improved multimodal port operations.
