Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA) and the Federation of Greek Port Employees (OMYLE) have signed a new three-year collective labour agreement (CLA) on 23 July 2025, following a constructive round of consultations.
The agreement, which covers the period from 2025 to 2027, marks a significant milestone in labour relations at the Port of Thessaloniki.
The signing ceremony reflected a spirit of collaboration with both parties highlighting the need to promote stability, mutual trust and long-term development.
“The signing of the new CLA is the result of fruitful negotiations, aimed at ensuring mutually beneficial terms,” said Apostolos Dallas, president of OMYLE.
“The promotion of a modern working environment that supports the stability and well-being of employees remains a common priority. This agreement contributes to maintaining a framework of mutual trust and job security, which is a constant and ongoing demand of all employees and the trade union movement.”
Dr Ioannis Tsaras, chief executive of ThPA, said the agreement was strategically important.
“The CLA is a tool for cooperation and progress,” he said.
“The successful conclusion of the dialogue confirms our commitment to investing in our people and co-creating a working environment that reinforces the developmental role of the Port of Thessaloniki in northern Greece and the wider region.”
The new CLA is expected to enhance labour relations and strengthen the port’s role as a critical logistics and trade hub in southeastern Europe.
