RAM telescope fixed on Antwerp
RAM Spreaders new telescopic mobileharbour crane spreader, incorporating weight-saving features for maximum cranelifting capacity, has entered into service at the Port of Antwerp.
A double beam design provides a robust yet low tare weight unit offering maximum crane lifting capacity, and with less inertia when rotating unladen. Six hydraulically operated flippers offer fast and accurate container location.A 41 tonne capacity RAM Model 2730, 20ft/40ft, single lift, telescopic spreader was commissioned in August 2007 on a new Gottwald Model 4, GHMK 4406 Harbour Crane, delivered to the Antwerp Port Authority.
The Port of Antwerp Authority can use the RAM spreader on all types of Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes in its fleet.
