TIV to use Navis TOS

Navis partner Data and System Planning (DSP) will manage the N4 implementation process. Services provided as part of the licensing agreement include configuration, testing, report and field extensions and go-live support services. TIV will also implement Navis General Cargo to support its CFS operations, specialised in coils and marble-stuffing and stripping.

Embracing automation

Roberto Semenzato, general manager at the Italian terminal located in Venice-Marghera, said: “Here at TIV, we are actively tackling all organisational and operational methods so that we can improve and modernise our cargo-handling processes.

Growing throughput

TIV currently handles an annual throughput of 320,000 teu and anticipates a 10-15% growth over the next five years.

Operations are carried out over 185,000 square metres and four reserved quays which have a total length of over 1,3000 m and an alongside depth of 11.5 m.

The facility is used as a gateway for traffic to flow to and from Central/Eastern Italy and Central/Eastern European countries.
