The organisers of the GreenPort Congress are pleased to announce the release of it’s 8th conference programme. The CEO of the host port, Eddy Bruyninckx of Antwerp Port Authority, and the new ESPO Secretary General, Isabelle Ryckbost, will be amongst the speakers in the opening session, after which the programme will comprise four sessions as follows:

* Air Quality Management in ports

* Waste and materials management in ports

* Managing the direct impact on the local community

* Environmental reporting and communication

Following keynote speeches at the beginning of each session, the audience will then be divided into three working groups, the themes of which are based on the ESPO Green Guide: Exemplify, Enable/Engage and Encourage or Enforce? Daan Rijks, Royal Boskalis, will give an introduction to the working sessions entitled ‘PIANC-IAPH WG150: Sustainable Ports, Guidance for Port Authorities’, which will be followed by Antonis Michail of ESPO, who will present ‘Self-regulation unders 5 Es: The approach of the European Port Authorities in tackling their environmental priorities’.

At the end of each session the audience will then come back together and the findings of each group will be presented and discussed in a plenary session.
