Egypt’s Transport Minister, Sharaf Eddin, visiting Alexandria, said ongoing work aimed at upgrading the infrastructure would allow the facility to become one of the most important in the Mediterranean. US$1.91bn will be invested in Egypt’s maritime transport sector over the next few years.
