Green light for Gladstone terminal
Environmental clearance has now been given for the construction of Wiggins Island Coal Terminal at the port of Gladstone, Australia.
The multi-billion dollar three phase plan will eventually add 84m tonnes of coal export capacity at the port.
The first stage of the project is due for completion by 2012 and is forecast to add 25m tonnes of capacity.
