Located within the Port the Alcântara Maritime Station is an architect-designed building located at the mouth of the Tagus River. It was designed by the architect Pardal Monteiro and built in 1943 as part of the modernisation of the ports serving Lisbon.

Port of Lisbon, who are celebrating their 135th anniversary this October is the third-largest port in Portugal, visited by more than 2000 vessels every year and has a container capacity of more than 1Million TEU. Its 14 terminals handled more than 11 million tons in 2022 and has capacity to receive different types of cargo: containers, liquid, and solid bulk and breakbulk and offers a complete network of connections with the main ports of the world.
