Terminal Intermodale Nola (TIN) in Italy has recently gone ''live'' with a new integrated computer system supplied by Esoware.
The datastream covers all aspects of the transport at the port, from container distribution to weight calculations and customs, and allows users direct interface with the system. Reach stackers and trucks on the terminal are connected to the main computer via radio frequency.
TIN's logistics centre has 200,000 m/sq of stacking space, seven rail tracks and over 1,000 importers located in the district.
