Fundación Valenciaport will hold a conference on LNG fuel in Valencia as part of the GAINN projects.
‘LNG as Marine Fuel: the Moment of Truth’ will bring together international speakers to examine all aspects of using LNG as a marine fuel.
The conference’s focus will be the main obstacles hindering the use of LNG as marine fuel; the logistics costs associated with the LNG supply chain; the opportunities offered by the distribution model on a small scale; existing options for increasing demand for fuel and the latest technological advances in both the storage of the fuel and the LNG market generally.
Also up for discussion will be case studies of some of the first users of LNG in the shipping industry.
The GAINN projects – GAINN4MOS and GAIN4SHIP innovation – aim to provide legislators, port authorities and ship owners operating in Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia with the necessary support to comply with environmental regulations.
The conference will be held on 16th March at the premises of the Port Authority of Valencia.
